I know you're wondering what I've been up to since January 1?
Glad you asked.
Freezing!
Thank goodness I didn't have any outdoor sessions scheduled. I've been nesting inside keeping warm and making the most out of my downtime to enjoy winter and wine. Reading books. Watching movies. Eating popcorn. And making out my New Year's Resolutions.
I've been hanging on by a thread trying to wrap up my 2017 so I can start anew. January 1st was my finish line. There was moments during the last bit of 2017 when I didn't think I was going to make it!
I literally crossed over the threshold of the new year with my old laptop glued together and overheating and one last session to edit. Someone how I made it!!
Everyone will be happy to know, resolution #1 was to get a new laptop!
I have a brand new laptop! Its fabulous and fast. I actually picked it up in December but needed to wait to unbox it so I could learn how to use Windows 10. I had too many sessions to complete to monopolize my time learning how to use a new laptop so it had to wait. This little baby is going to be a game changer. Faster editing and galleries ready quicker! Yay!
Resolution #2 - Posting more! Clients, I've heard you! Everyone tells me they wish I would post more on social media. I have started working on my social media editorial calendar. With my nose buried in editing, posting was low on my priority list. Look for more posts on Instagram, Facebook and here on my blog. I might even get crazy with it until I find my speed. You have been warned.
Resolution #3 - Printing more! Time to practice what I preach! I'm going to be printing more this year and I can't even tell you how excited I am about it. I'm making it a high priority to share my favorites with you so you can see more ways to display your amazing photos!
And last but not least, I am slowing down so I can enjoy the ride.
I'm taking January off for a much needed break to catch my breath.
