Our Easter chicks this year are cute little bits of yellow fluff! But only for about one weekend. Chicks grow fast and in a week's time they will have little tiny wing feathers and be able to flutter. Which is also cute! But makes them a bit more...shall we say, mobile?
This years chicks are Buff Orpington chickens and they're all "girls". They'll be laying brown eggs in a few months and I'll be happy to share some photos. All my Easter chicks reside at my home after Easter and we enjoy the fresh eggs for the rest of the year. Last year we had more eggs than we could handle. There were many many omelets made in the Rinehart house this past year!
